  When hitchhiking in Florida in early 1977, the seed of the gospel was sown in Mark’s heart through the witness of a man who took the risk of giving him a ride. 5 months later, while attending First Baptist Church in East Longmeadow MA to see if the things He’d been told about the Lord was true. Mark was drawn by the Spirit to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior by grace through faith on June 19^th.

  The following year Mark joined an evangelistic musical drama ministry where he met his lovely wife, Lynn. After 4 years serving the Lord with that group, they left for Bible College where mark earned his bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry from Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA. He has remained a student of Scripture ever since.

  Mark brings to SLBC over 34 years of experience pastoring in Kansas and Idaho. His commitment to sound, verse-by-verse expositional preaching has been feeding us spiritually, while rooting us and building us in faith (Col. 2:7).
